Waiting for Andy

We are the Laubach's, Art, VickieAnn, Artie, August, Alex, Avery, Aiden, Aidric (Tori) and Andi. We have two home grown children Artie and August that are grown and they have children of their own (our Grandchildren) Ben, Grace (Artie's children) and Peyton (August's daughter). Alex, Avery, Aiden and Tori are all adopted from South Korea. Alex was born in 1996, Avery in 1998, Aiden in 1999 and Tori in 2000.

We had always said that we would have no more children after we turned 40 years old and we stuck to our guns for about 10 years but now we are in the process of adopting a little girl from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her African name is Ketsia but we will be renaming her Andersynn Piper Ketsia, we will call her Andi and no we aren't 40 anymore, we are 50! There are those who think we are crazy, but they just don't get it, it's not about how old you are or if you are able to adopt a child from a far away place. It is about what you feel is right for your family, and Andi feels right for the Laubach's. This is a whole new process for us as we are very familiar with Korean adoptions, but not so much on African adoptions. I will post pictures of Andi and our progress as we move along.
